This type of sludge is usually difficult to utilize directly. However, another type of sludge comes from municipal wastewater treatment plants and industries such as food processing, papermaking, and agriculture. This type of sludge contains a high proportion of organic matter, fibers, microbial residues, and other organic raw materials, and can be utilized after drying. The most common treatment method is to convert it into granules to realize economic value.

Furthermore, if the sludge composition is safe and meets standards, it can also be used as organic fertilizer in agriculture, forestry, horticulture, and other fields, generating economic benefits.
