In the machinery manufacturing industry, the machining precision of product components often determines the performance of the entire machine. Even a deviation of just a few micrometers can significantly reduce the overall performance. True quality begins with inspection.
The Yulong Fourth Plant Testing Center was newly built over five months.
It covers an area of approximately 340 square meters and is equipped with two high-powered air conditioners, maintaining a constant temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius throughout the testing room year-round, ensuring accurate testing through environmental temperature control.
This is the “space measurement master”—the coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and gear testing center—used to measure the dimensions, tolerances, and machining precision of product components.
The coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) used by Yulong are multiple series from the internationally renowned Qingdao Rayton company. These include the Rayton Navigator series gantry CMM, primarily responsible for the precision inspection of Yulong’s ultra-large components; the Rayton Cruiser series CMM, primarily responsible for the precision inspection of Yulong’s large parts; and the Rayton Tornado series CMM, responsible for the inspection of small precision components.
This is the gear inspection center, which can precisely measure parameters such as gear tooth profile, tooth direction, and tooth pitch to ensure that the gear manufacturing process meets high-precision standards.
Yulong’s control over product components goes beyond dimensional accuracy; material quality is equally important. Therefore, Yulong is equipped with a series of core testing technologies, including spectral material analysis, metallographic analysis, hardness testing, and ultrasonic flaw detection, ensuring quality control at every stage from raw materials to finished products. Currently, Yulong’s fourth-plant testing center is still under construction. We will introduce other aspects of the testing center in future videos.
